Oxfordshire

What a lovely shire, and the epitome of Merry England. Here are some more snaps taken from near the location of the recent Hello/OK private function.
An excellent inn, and one which knows how to serve a perfect MGT.

A nice pile. Worth a bob or two, I should think.
This is the centre of a typical small, market town, with origins in the Middle Ages.

MM - you certainly get around. Don't you worry about all that jet fuel screwing the environment?
Would you sample the beer please? MGTs are all the same, surely.

Unfortunately it is not possible to take Hotboy's example, and row to Oxfordshire.

Mingin! You could row to anywhere if you just takes your spinach! Hotboy
Superb pictures.
We have an area near to me called English Village. It has a similar look.

Thank you for your comments. Lee Ann - when was 'your' English Village built?
One interesting thing about the village in the pictures, which is called Thane, is that the layout grew as a result of history and necessities. There was a river crossing, then fairly nearby a market grew up, then a some public houses at each corner, then a church was built, and then, of course, they developed a cricket pitch!
